3trees Church is a Spirit-empowered, Life-giving church for all of Lake Cumberland that is connecting people to Jesus, while finding needs and meeting them.
When did 3Trees Church conduct its first worship service? The church began in a re-modeled restaurant on Sunday, September 3, 2000.
How long have you been at your current location? We purchased the first 12 acres of our property in May 2001 and moved into our first facility at the current location in November 2002.
How much acreage does the church own for the purpose of facility and parking expansion? We currently own 29 acres at the location of our current facilities: 3515 West Hwy. 80 in Russell Springs, KY.
Which denomination is the church affiliated with? We are a non-denominational fellowship of believers accountable to a group of Bishops who have a combined total of over 100 years in ministry. As well, we practice a variety of accountability measures in both stewardship and leadership.
What is the administrative structure of 3trees Church? We have 3 branches of leadership: 1.) The Lead Team which facilitates the leadership of daily ministry activities. 2.) The Administrative Team which handles the financial accountability of the church. 3.) The Team of Bishops which oversees the moral conduct of our lead pastor.
What is the process for financial accountability? All contributions are recorded and each contributor receives a detailed summary of their support at the end of each year. Also, at any time a contributor can request a financial summary from the church office which discloses the distribution of all monies received. The lead pastor has no direct access to the finances and does not review individual giving records. 3trees Church’s Administrative Team sets the budget for each ministry which is then confirmed by the Lead Team. The lead pastor’s salary is set by the Administrative Team in cooperation with the Team of Bishops. If 3Trees Church brings in $500,000 or more during one fiscal year a financial audit is performed by an independent company for the purpose of accountability.
Who are the ministers of 3trees Church credentialed and/or ordained through? For ministers who attend our church that would like to be ordained, we offer the opportunity through Shift Ministerial Fellowship. (Shift is an outreach ministry of 3trees.)
